DVC for II exchange

Has anyone used their points for II exchange? How does it work? Do you need to book a room at Disney first? Is it worth it?

Try this thread also You might also do a search on DVC using my name and words like exchange, interval International, Hawaii and see what you find. I think you'll find a lot more info.

Thanks for your help. I am not yet a DVC owner and am probably jumping the gun a bit, but as my DH and I both love the Caribbean also...we want to know all our options before we begin.

IMO, one should only buy essentially the points they would use at a DVC resort. For exchange or other options, I'd look elsewhere. DVC plus another timeshare or points system might be best for many.
