I love the Captain Hook and the Darth Vader photos. I thought that we would have some photo pass pictures like that when we were in WDW in December. I don't know why they were not taking photos like that but I am loving yours!

Aww I'm so sad to see it end! I felt like I was right there with you. You also opened my eyes to something I hadn't realized: My Aladdin Show at disneyland is gone! I loved that show, I don't think I could watch the Indiana Jones show without crying. ahhhhh, long story Anywhom. I really enjoyed this Report! I love all your pictures! I'll deffenitely have to get the Vader and Hook ones, I love them!

Thanks for the kind comments! The only pics we got that were enhanced at WDW had stitch coming out of the pavement, holding baby Simba at Animal Kingdom, and a Tinkerbell shot at Magic Kingdom. These shots were fun to get!

Perhaps you don't need to be too sad...There was an Aladdin show at DCA that we didn't get to. It may still be there.

Are you sure? I was just looking on the calendar for our Dec. stay, and I thought it was on there... I know the first time we wanted to catch it in the fall, the show was "dark", because they were re-casting the roles. It started up again just days after we returned home... naturally!

And I so want to show DS8 all your photos; he now refuses to pose with characters (unless it's Captain Jack or some other manly man, of course.)

You won't regret going to Disney Land. We had heard so much about it not comparing to WDW. We thought it was charming and had many positives! No need for the bus was a HUGE plus. I'm using the GCV as an excuse to go back!!

Pluto literally ran right into the picture out of practically nowhere.

LOL about your upcoming chat with your son! Good luck with your own 'Grumpy'! I must admit I have never made them go to a princess breakfast or stand in line when there isn't food for a picture with the characters (OK, maybe a short line). They do tease me when they see them coming towards our table, "ah Mom, I think I need to use the rest room" They were trained from a young age (our first trip to WDW was when they were 7) you still have time to condition your son

I was kind of hoping the moose characters would arrive but no... The boys headed up to the room to get ready for our day and DH and I check in with the Disney Cruise Line cast members and received our lanyards for being Castaway Club members (sailed before with DCL) I had planned our blitz for the day and planned to be at the GC private entrance for DCA at 9:30 am. We made it by 9:35 so I was pretty pleased with the troops!


We are also Castaway Club members. Can any member just go and pick up a lanyard or was it something special? Where exactly did you go? Great report-thanks!

We were leaving for a Disney Cruise on the Magic after our stay so we were able to check in right at the GCH. I guess it was something special because the Magic does not often sail from California.

On the plus side, the next time you sail on DCL you and your party will probably receive lanyards too

We have never used the photopass guys... crazy huh? I guess we never saw them in WDW and they didn't approach us.

*So...for the photopass guys we should look for brown vests, correct? (any other tips?) Do you have to wait long to get one of the "special" shots? I jotted down the spots you told us about to look for them. Thanks!

*Did you have a "plan" of attack that you followed for the rides? Or did you just go where ever the wind took you? I'm thinking about Ridemax. (?)

The Photopass photographers wear tan vests and usually tan shorts/pants/skirt and of course are holding a big camera and a black card zapping device hanging off their belts. Many wear tan safari type hats (the floppy ones) They are not working during early entry hour but after that you'll see them along main street and the areas I mentioned. I can't believe you haven't noticed them. They are the one think I have NEVER taken a picture of! I'll have to capture my pals in December when we are at WDW.

We planned our attack following the advise of the unofficial guide to Disney Land. We were not disappointed by their tourig plans. The second day at Disney Land we were much more spontaneous.

I'm excited for you going in 65 days

And as my avatar may indicate, I'm a huge Star Wars fan, so I loved the Darth Vader photos. I was thrilled to find, after multiple searches, a photographer who could do that shot for me.
