. . . I'm not sure why the literature only stated hour. Annmarie
The "Extra Magic Hour(s)" perk is an evolution of the "Early Entry" perk.
This allowed any on-site resort guests to enter 1 hour prior to normal published park openning time.
If my memory serves me, when it was called "Early Entry" another option available to anyone, was the purchase of an "E-Night" ticket at MK. Which was for 3-4 hours starting when the park closed having all the E-Ticket attractions operating.
With the Extra Magic Hours in the evening, it is free and I believe more attractions are operating. Also at the other parks, not just MK.
I'm sure the "Pencil Sharpeners" decided that full resorts bring in more $$ and the amount of people staying on-site over off-site only becasue of this perk make up for the lost ticket revenue of E-Nights.
From the guests perspective, they only sold a limited number of these E-Night tickets, and there are alot more on-site rooms now. So now there are probably alot more people in the MK on the Extra Magic Hours nights then there were for E-Nights.
Anyone have personal experince to support this theory?
