Good morning everyone,

I am hoping another DVC member has experience in doing the early registration process for the rundisney races for marathon weekend in January. Can you tell me what it was like? I understand there will be a link on the DVC page on April 14. I know the races sell out quickly and I am hoping to be prepared. :)

I just booked the lakeview studio at the VGF (just barely! the standard views were already BOOKED on the first day of the 11 month booking window!) for January 6th to 11th, 2016. Now I just need to get the race registration in. Does anyone know if I can sign myself up and my husband as well? I don't know if the race registration site allows for multiple runner sign ups....I searched the entire rundisney website and didn't see anything.
Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!! :sunny:

I've done it a few times...most recently for disneyland.
start logging on a few minutes before and refresh, refresh, refresh until it's live.
you can only do one person at a time so make sure it opens in a new window so that when you're done with one you can just click on the link again to open up the second registration.

Good luck! I had a friend whose internet was slow and she registered herself but then it was sold out by the time she went to pay for her husbands. so frustrating.

Dear Kelly,
Thank you SO much! That's exactly what I am worried about!!! :worship: I will keep your advice in mind. Thank you!

PS...Have you run the January event? Did you like it? Just curious.

I would have each person do their own registration.

I've done the January half twice now. First time (2014) I was sick as a dog. Second time (2015) it had been cold cold cold beforehand and I had belly issues that made me 10+ minutes slower than being sick as a dog (and I'm talking a lung illness in '14, not just a cold) and the course is just long and boring (less boring when sick as a dog). That's my opinion, and I'm a self-described rundisney don't-know-why-I-keep-signing-up-for-these-things person. I truly do not know why I keep doing this, since I like local courses so much better. (Seattle Half, gorgeous even at 27 degrees!) Others have much better opinions of the WDW marathon weekend.

I did like Wine&Dine last year; that was fun, even though it rained on us from the corrals to the very very end. And TOT in '13 was decent, though hot hot hot. Of course they aren't doing that this year.

My husband and I are dvc. But my name is the only one on the contract. Am I still able to register my husband early for rundisney events? ?

I am the associate and we are able to register me through DH's account for rundisney events.

Technically no and they state they could revoke the registration. No idea if they ever have or if they every would but just to let you know what they have been saying for the past year or so.
