I just received a Chase Disney Premier card and was wondering if I paid my dues and possibly my Disney loan with them, could I still earn rewards?

I looked thru the paperwork and couldn't find anything - just wondering if anyone does this?

I normally pay my dues and loans monthly to Disney thru my debit card - but if I could earn rewards toward my Disney trips with the Chase Premier Card, I'd just as well charge them and sent up recurring payments to my Chase Card each month.

Also, What types of benefits do other members use their Chase Card Rewards for in Disney?

Thanks !!

You can pay your dues with the card if you pay in full. Recurring monthly dues can only be paid from a debit/checking type account. We took our card to take advantage of the sign up bonus and we use it for all Visa transactions when use of our Amex is not an option. We buy Disney gift cards with it at 10% off to net 12% and funnel a few big ticket items through it occasionally. It is also our “on file” Disney CC. I think depending on your lifestyle there are probably much more generous cards out there but it works for us. As to your loan balance, I’m not sure if you could pay that off, but I would assume so. Folks do talk about purchasing points direct with it and enjoying the 6 mo. interest free.

Sorry I posted the Quote and forgot my reply !!! Anyhow just wondering where you purchase the Disney Gift Cards for 10% off? I normally purchase Disney cards thru target at 5% off.

We have and regularly shop at Meijer here in NW Ohio. They are an upper Midwest chain sort of like a Super Walmart. They offer a deal several times per year where you can earn 10% “store cash” with a gift card purchase. We are fortunate that it is our primary grocery store. We have been able to use gift cards purchased there for the vast majority of our Disney expenditures the last couple of years - AP’s, TIW, all meals and most of our MF’s. I loyally buy every time they offer it to hopefully keep them offering it. Of course GC’s of all types are part of their promotion.

Also, BJ's warehouse and Costco, and also Target offer discounted gift cards, so as low as 4% off but if you use a rewards credit card to buy the gift cards you can get up to 8-15% combined savings. Try out the "I love credit cards" forum over on the Budget Page.

For dues, you actually have it set up through your checking account info, not the debit card. (That’s how they do things)

So you can’t do dues that exact way.

But you CAN do dues with a Disney gift card and with the rewards redemption card you’ll get from the Disney cc.

You can either just pay it all at once at the start of the year...

OR do the thing I learned from this site:

*At least the day before the autopay for the monthly dues, you go into your Dvc account to the annual dues section.

*Click Pay Balance.

*Click Pay By Contract. That will show you options.

*You can choose to pay the full balance, to not pay, or to Pay Other Amount.

*For the latter, you’ll see “Contracts Enrolled in Autopay can only receive partial payments by Disney Gift Card or Disney Rewards Redemption Card”. (The payment info is going to show the option for a cc but it won’t accept that for partial pay)

*So choose that option, tell them what you want to pay, enter your GC or rewards redemption card, and submit payment.

*Once it refreshes it’ll then show $0 for the current month’s autopay.
[Well, if you’re me yesterday it’ll show 22cents for autopay because I miscalculated and was that much off in the GC amount. Oops. So today it’s charging me that 22 cents from my checking account, but the rest of it was taken care of by the GC.]

It’s a brilliant allowed workaround, and I’m glad I finally believed the person that posted about it.

And I purchased the gift card from my local Kroger-brand store, with a 4x fuel rewards special on GCs. If I do a full 12gallon full for my car with that, that’ll save me 3.20, which isn’t much, but it’s something. Worth my time, IMO, since the store is close to home and I get it while grocery shopping. I don’t yet have a rewards-yielding CC, so I take what I can. :)
