DVC discounts on Typhoon Lagoon?

Hello All-
Does anyone know if we can buy our Typhoon Lagoon tickets at the hotel desk when we arrive or should we get them ahead of time ? ( does Typhoon lagoon ever sell out for the day ? ).
Also- is there a DVC discount on the cost of tickets ? Thanks to all who respond !

Yes, TL does reach capacity on many summer days.

The DVC discount is $3 per child and $4 per adult. Last time I did it, you have to buy at the park entrance to get the discount. Resorts could not sell tickets at the lower price (at least as of 2-3 years ago.)

Whenever I looked at on-line discounted tickets, the discount was similar to the $3-4 off given to DVC members. YMMV

Edit: Disregard my previous post. The water park tickets aren't on the member web site.

Having a ticket in advance doesn't necessarily get you in if a park closes due to capacity. I imagine the water parks use a similar phased closure plan as the theme parks.
