DVC discounted special event tix question (halloween, Christmas)

I was planning to buy my MNSSHP tickets with the DVC discount and there was a note:

"Item(s) are priced for Disney Vacation Club Members only. For these items, you must show a valid Disney Vacation Club Membership ID at the park entrance to pick up your tickets or passes."

I can't remember from previous years if this was the case or whether the confirmation email gives the tix numbers. I had planned on just having the tix mailed to us. The only reason I am buying them this early is to do fast passes before the party starts. But if I cannot do this, there is no reason to buy them this early. I may just wait until it is much closer and pick the better date for weather.

Does anyone know whether I can book the fast passes from the info on the confirmations?

ETA - given that there is only a $5 discount, I may just buy regular and get the fast passes

We haven't been to MNSSHP in several years but I don't think you can make FP with a party ticket. I thought I read somewhere you can only make them up until the party offically starts if you have a regular day guest ticket.

Thanks for responding. You can make them up until the party time, even with an event ticket. They allow you in the park as of 4p and you can book up til 7. I think people recommend 3:30, 4:30, 5:30 for the passes.
