DVC discount on photopass cd???

I thought I had read somewhere that there was a $50 discount on DVC members purchasing a Disney photopass cd. Does anyone know how to get the discount? We were at Disney at the end of March and I'm hoping to order a cd. They are soooo expensive!

I was told to call 45 days prior to our trip. I called and they emailed me a code to enter when ordering my CD. I'm not sure if you can get it after the fact but I would call and ask.

I just called yesterday, which was my day 45 before our trip. They email you a code that you can prepurchase the CD. Its only BEFORE the trip, not afterwards.

I called MS & got the code emailed to me, but when I tried to go on Photopass & preorder it for our mid May trip, I could not figure out how.
I have preordered twice before (once w/DVC email code).

This is correct - its not a pre-purchase code.

However, and I am not personally advocating this, I have seen on the Budget board that now the 99 pre-purchase link is available people have also used the 50.00 off code on top of that..... This makes me think that you can apply the code before you go on your trip to pre-purchase a CD (I think you put it in the coupon/promotion box).

Just an FYI ...

I called Member Services yesterday (4/15) morning and they sent an e-mail to the photopass people to request my DVC $50 off code. It was in my inbox this morning, and I just pre-ordered my cd for $99.95 less the $50 discount, so my total was only $49.95!

Wow! I keep hearing it's not a preorder, but if you were able too that's awesome! You did it on the photopass website? That's for a Walt Disney World photopass CD?

I just did this yesterday. The web page says that once you pre-order it, it doesn't expire. You just can't use it on photos that were in your account before you pre-ordered it, and you have to order it before the photos in your account expire (30 days after they were entered, I think, and they have to be entered within 30 days after they were taken).

Yes, it looks that way. You'd get the $50 discount for pre-purchasing, but you wouldn't get the additional $50 discount from the code that you can get by calling MS 45 days or less before your arrival.
