DVC discount on photopass cd???

Is the DVC discount only valid on the Disneyworld Photo Pass CD purchase? I told MS that I'm going to VGC on Monday and she emailed me the discount code and neve mentioned anything about it not being valid for DL, my friend is on the phone with MS now and they are saying it's only valid for WDW...anyone know?

If I'm not mistaken the DL photopass CD is already $59.99 regular price. So I don't think the coupon would work. BUT you can always try it... maybe you'll get your CD for less than $10

This is correct - its not a pre-purchase code.

However, and I am not personally advocating this, I have seen on the Budget board that now the 99 pre-purchase link is available people have also used the 50.00 off code on top of that..... This makes me think that you can apply the code before you go on your trip to pre-purchase a CD (I think you put it in the coupon/promotion box).

Yes, you can LEGITIMATELY apply the code before your trip. Our trip doesn't start until the end of May, but I was able to call MS,, get the code and apply it to the pre-arrival deal to purchase the CD for a total cost of $49.99. I have a written invoice from Disney confirming that purchase, and that has the invoice purchase number I will need once my photos are final and on the CD to get it shipped.

There is nothing unethical or sneaky about this - Disney could have programmed the system not to allow a "double dip" discount if they wanted to.

But they did not.

Unfortunately, I ordered mine before I read about the DVC discount being applied to, so I paid the 99. Anyone done that? I think I will try to call DVC and see if there's any way I can apply the $50 DVC discount after I've ordered. Any suggestions?

I believe they state that you can cancel the order. You could try that , then go through the process agin and reorder with your DVC code... where everyone who has spoken to someone directly has been told that it is a post trip discount, i think you will have a hard time getting it applied to a prorder. It will be interesting to see what others have to say though.

I think now i'll go to the thread about everything not getting done because of DISboards

I just got back from DL. I cannot tell you how much this post made my day! Thank you SO MUCH! OMG, that is like the price of just ONE 5x7! Talk about the best Disney deal around!

There is no more DVC discount on the Photopass, for a while now (at least a month). It was done away with when they re-opened the general public pre-order discount.

People who were able to use both the pre-order discount AND the DVC discount were just lucky in their timing - they just happened to get their DVC discount code before they stopped giving them out but used it after the general public discount was reinstated.

BTW, if you guys are lucky enough to get the $50 off and preordered. AND THEN received photopass discount card during your visit, they are stackable.
I got my preordered CD and photo archive CD for a total of $59 including shipping.

I just went there - worked just fine. Try clearing out your cookies / cache from your browser.
