Guide rumors are pretty much worthless, especially stuff like the "resale won't get 11 month booking!" and "resale won't be able to change at 7 months!" which are the two common guide hoo-hoos.

Those kinds of changes would be material changes in the DVC offering. These are not changes that are discussed with low-level employees. Guides are low level employees. They are the bus drivers of DVC. They don't get a say in these matters, which have strong legal underpinnings as this is a timeshare/real estate interest and governed by specific laws.

I mean, I'm sure that when upper management discusses how to increase sales/value of direct, they may "focus group" with a few guides, and guides come in and suggest that stuff. Then leave and are all THIS WILL HAPPEN BECAUSE I SUGGESTED IT I R00L!

But then all that happens is a few more Midnight Magics or whatever.
