What kinds of restrictions are there with the dining plan? Are there only certain menu items that you can order? If you do not use the vouchers one day, can you use them another day? Can you use the snack voucher at the Food and Wine booths? We used the Disney Dining Discount card during our last two trips and I am just trying to figure out whether or not to renew it or consider the dining plan.

I'll answer some of your questions.

Last year you could use the dining plan at the Food & Wine Festival as a snack option. I suspect Disney will continue that this year.

You may use your credits in whatever manner you want. If you want to use two or three table service credits in one day, that's your option. If you want to save up all your counter service credits to use your last day, that's you option.

As far as I know, you can order anything on the menu, as long as it fits the description. However, if you do the Cape May Cafe buffet, and you want to order the Crab's Legs (which is normally an extra cost), it will be an extra charge not covered by the DDP.

Here's a link to the Disney Dining Plan board.

Start with the FAQ "sticky" at the top of the page -- it will answer 99% of your questions. You'll find there are very few restrictions/exclusions, etc.

The only difference between the DVC dining plan and the regular dining plan is we don't have to buy a park ticket for each person.

We had a party of ten at Cape May, 3 of them love crab legs. We where on the DDP, we when and all loved it there. Even those who wanted crap legs where happy with what they got. We will go back.
