DVC Dining Plan and Disney Visa Rewards

ohh good question, I think we tried this in April. I am going to say no. Hopefully someone will correct me. If not, call Disney dining direct. When I want to receive my points from Disney Visa rewards, I call the number listed on my statement to receive a gift card in the dollar amount (points). I used this in April at Bippity Bop Boutique (I really mispelled this). Best of luck!:wizard:

I am about 90% positive that you can do this. We stayed at BWV in Jan., purchased the dining plan, and I think I had enough Disney Reward dollars to cover half of the cost, and then I put the rest on my credit card. I just saw my BWV receipt when I was cleaning out my Disney folder the other day.

Thanks so much!! We will have 4 on the dining plan and I only have about 90 dollars in points, but it would be terrific if we could apply this amount to the plan.

We had alot of points accumulated for our last stay with the DDP last fall. We checked in and just assumed the DDP would be added to our room tab and when we checked out, we intended to use our Visa points to cover our room tab. Well, we learned that the DDP is something you pay for THAT moment when you check in, but you definitely can use you Visa points card to cover it. Just beware... After some time of the CM wrangling on the computer, we were able to do it that way. It definitely can be done, it's just not a room tab type of an item...must be paid for upon check-in. FYI!

Yes you can, and if you don't have enough reward dollars you can do a partial payment with reward dollars.:thumbsup2

Yes. You can.

As previously mentioned, you will need to pay for it at check-in. You will need to convert your earned points into the Disney Rewards Card (credit card looking thing). Then you present that card at check-in. If you don't have enough rewards dollars to pay for then entire cost, you can use a credit card, cash, etc., to pay the difference.

Thanks so much... I just received the disney rewards card with the rewards credits. It will help to apply this to the plan.

Thank you,

Steve

we've done it:thumbsup2 had a credit to our room account when they totalled up all my different cards, that was a 1st.;)

I had a large stack of the disney GC i had accumulated as gifts, mostly in the $25 - $50 range...

it took a long time & the manager was summoned to process. Evidently, each one had to be manually inputed in WL's system last trip:confused3 felt bad for the people in line behind me.:guilty:

We did this in May so it is possible -- it took some time as the computer wasn't cooperating. The CM tried a couple of times and then called a supervisor over who helped get the transaction done. Just be prepared to be patient and you shouldn't have a problem.

I have done it 3 times! It sure helps! I find it works easier to have any overage applied to room charges than to pay in the park, if you should have some money left over on your Rewards card. Once a cart CM charged me $20.00 for a water. Just a extra 0. :rolleyes1
