DVC Chit Chat Thread

Anyone know if any of the bars/restaurants at Disney World have trivia nights? Staying here at a DVC villa listening to the kids pool trivia games and my adult DD said it would be fun if grown ups could do that.
I don't know about trivia nights, but Riviera has trivia a few afternoons a week in the library and it's a mix of kids and adults. Plenty of them (both the kids and adults) fairly serious about the trivia! It's fun and definitely a different atmosphere than the trivia at the pools, in my experience.

Is it similar to what you find on the DCL ships?

I wouldn't know. I've never been on a DCL ship! But it's a quiet trivia game. You can play alone or with a team. They give you paper with numbered answer slots. You write down your answers as you go and at the end everyone goes through the answers together. It is led by the same cast member who does the pool party that day, I think.

I can’t remember where the Disney ears chat happened so I will just post here. I own my first pair of Disney brand ears and oh my gosh they are so uncomfortable like someone had said. I think maybe it was @cruisehopeful.

All of my others are Loungefly. Sticking to those from now on.
I think we discussed this in the shopping thread after the Crocs headband announcement 🤣

Ahh yes. I will wait for reports on the crocs ones. These Disney ones feel like I have rocks behind my ears.

I don't remember if I posted it or not, but I've never been able to wear the ear headbands. I don't know if it's the shape of my head or if my head swells up throughout the day, I'm always completely amazed to see people wearing them all day.

I didn't know that the Loungefly fit differently. Maybe I will try a pair sometime. Does Aulani have any?

I wear glasses and wearing ears hits where my glasses are and hurt like crazy. I've tried to stretch out the headbands and still painful. Anyone wear glasses and ear headbands without pain?

They have ears there. Fingers crossed they are Loungefly.

I don’t think I even knew that Loungefly made ears, but now I think I need some…the Disney ones are horribly tight!

I always wear contacts to the parks since the humidity makes my glasses slide.
I always wear contacts because I’m afraid to wear glasses on rollercoasters and don’t want to do them blind.

Well, last week on our checkout day we were rushing to early morning magic (or whatever they call it at DLP) and I didn’t even realize I was wearing glasses until I got into the boarding stalls for the IronMan coaster (their reskin of RockNRollercoaster)— so I was faced with the choice of banging around in the headrests with glasses and maybe losing them OR going through blindly (missing all the interesting parts of the ride and not knowing when to brace for sudden turns). 0/5 stars, do not recommend!
