I want to book 4 nights at BCV at my 11 month window, but only have pts for 3 nights. Can I get the fourth night now and get a DVC discount rate or are there special restrictions on when you can book a DVC discounted room in conjuction with a point stay?

There are no special restrictions - it just depends on availability for the cash night. MS/DVC has some type of formula they use to project the number and type of units that will likely not be reserved for points. Those are the ones they make available for cash and for the Member cash discount. (Sometimes you can get a cash night for rack rate, but not the discount). No one here knows how they actually do it.

Generally, there are very few cash units available through MS at 11 months, but it never hurts to ask. More units seem to get released as it gets closer to arrival. You just have to keep checking to see if one becomes available - there are no waitlists for cash reservations.

This is a twist on the same question. I have enough points at my resort for 5 nights, but not the sixth..would I be able to try and call at 7 months and use points from a different resort to add on more nights? If available would they do that and let me stay in the same room?

Yes to both questions.

Just tell the CM that you have an existing reservation and would like to add an additional night to it. Doesn't matter where the points come from if the 7 month window is open. You will not have to move - the original reservation will be modified to show the additional night and to the resort, it will appear as one continuous stay.

Thank you...I knew I should have gotten 5 more points at OKW to start with :)
