DVC Card and Restaurants

We are DVC members. We will be traveling to florida and will be staying with friends. We will not be staying at any of the resorts this time around. However we will be at the parks. Can I still show my DVC card at the parks for restaurants, gift shops etc. to receive a discount?

I would!

If they don't accept it, they'll tell you. And if you show it up front- you'll know if you get a discount or not.

Yes, they will accept it. I think the only DVC benefit you can't use when not staying at a DVC resort is pool hopping.

Yes, the card is good whether you're staying at a resort or not; however, not all restaurants or shops provide a discount for DVC members. Sure wish they did!

A few months ago when we were eating dinner at Bongo's with DVC friends, Bongo's did not acept AP or DDE. They accepted DVC!
