DVC Block Party - feedback

What is this party like? We are new members coming "home" for 1st time this Aug. We are considering this Block Party and wanted your feedback on it.
Also, do you have to make a reservation if you want to attend or do you simply show up?

When is your trip? Although we have stayed 4 times on rented points, this August is our first trip on our own points and first trip "home". You asked some great questions and I'm eager to hear what folks have to say after the party gets started.

We are going Aug 7th. Really excited!
I will be sure to post something after the trip re: the Block Party and my general feedback.
I am really looking forward to the amazing memories I will have with my children as a DVC member...
What's your fave. resort?

we arrive at OKW on Friday and will certainly check out the block party next Tuesday. we will be on property for 6 weeks so if the party's good we'll go every week! maybe meet some of you there

six weeks, my goodness gracious. You will certainly be able to see and do everything that Disney has to offer in that timeframe. Have a wonderful time. We Americans envy the amount of vacation time that you Europeans get.
