Upon Check in you will receive a pamphlet with all the current DCV perks. A member card may be required to receive these discounts, some CMs ask some don't so best for the member to carry the card at all times. Enjoy your trip!
Mike Bartenhagen said:Thanks. Do all 12 of us have "DVC Member" on our cards or just my parents? I seem to recall all of us did last time we were there.
Are there ever any really good discounts or just the usual 10% off here and there type of stuff?
BillYou should all have DVC Member on the room keys....
I'd be interested in knowing more about member benefits too. DH & I are researching buying DVC and the promotional info is pretty vague. I realize the benefits can change, but generally speaking? I'm mainly interested in discounts on passes & golf.
Thnx!

we received 35% off on our tee time for this december. good at any of the Palmer courses (Palm, Magnolia, etc.)
Currently DVC Members and their immediate family members living at the same address can get a Premuim WDW Annual pass for $399. That is a limited time offer, that I think expire at the end of this year. The normal AP discount is $100 off. The Premium AP Discount is $125 off. Those are for adult passes. There are some minor discounts on daily water park tickets, behind the scenes tours, etc.
There is no discount on Magic Your Way park tickets.
The member discount for AP's changed when the prices changed in June. Regular APs are now $149 off.

Many, maybe most of the discounts are offered by companies other than Disney. Disney negotiates the perks yearly and it's up to the other companies if they want to participate. Many of the restaurants, golf, and water sports fall into this category. We lost free Valet parking when the outside company canceled the perk without notice.
Perks are nice but IMO they are more of a marketing tool to entice direct buyers. There isn't any other benefit for Disney to offer them.
Don't buy a contract hoping to get perks, buy to save some money on your room understanding that you are locked into Disney vacations for many years to come.
