I know a few months ago there was a big change that Disney Bell Services would not longer accept deliveries from 3rd party companies. However will they still hold pershible groceries that I have picked up at the grocery store prior to arrival? I am slightly concerned since I know DVC rooms are not typically available until later in the day. Thanks!

From my experience, this has not changed, I sent some perishable things when I changed resorts in Dec and bell services had no issues.

No notification has been given that there is a change in policy for this so I'm thinking it is safe to assume (you know what they say about assume) it is still the same as before. That is what I'm going with for my next visit which is coming up in about two weeks. I will have a cooler that will have plenty of ice in it to keep everything cold until I get my room (hopefully). I hope my assumption is correct. I hope you and I both have a very positive experience. pixiedust:

They held stuff for us the week before Christmas at Riviera while we were waiting for out room to be ready. We were transferring over from AKV Kidani and already had groceries from that part of our trip.

The changes were as follows:
  1. Any groceries delivered to bell services will have a $6 fee if and only if you have bell services deliver to you room. If you grab them yourself no charge
  2. Packages are still charged per package
  3. Scooters and strollers can no longer be delivered to bell services unless you rent from Scooter Bug. That’s the only one that can be delivered to bell services now. This is probably the policy change you remember. People misunderstood that it was all 3rd party companies but disney clarified it applied to scooter and wheelchair companies only.

Thanks everyone! This makes me feel a lot better. Especially since this is for Marathon Weekend (check in on Wednesday) and in the past we have had to wait until 3pm to get a room.
