DVC APs/DDE

I am an AP holder and DDE member, new who went with the faxed letter. We used the letter alot and no one asked for an AP. Wonder how they check who should pay $50 as an AP holder and who should pay $75 as a non AP holder. I think they need to tighten up procedures on this.

I just called for my DDE this week and was asked for my AP number.

Luckily I had a copy of it at work. I keep copies of the backs of all my tickets in my desk.

does this mean we can buy our AP's once there and still get the DVC discount? we have 3 FITS tickets which I know want to sell and buy 3 DVC Ap's and DDE!! should I buy the AP's and DDE before going? obviously need AP number to order DDE but how long to get that? going mid feb.
of course have to sell the 3 FITS passes first!
why oh why did they make all these changes jan 2!!!

I ordered the card and got the e-mail to use it. My name is on the e-mail. I will get to cards 1 for me and 1 for DW. They did not ask her first name ,so if my name is on both cards do I need to be present for her to use her card?
Can she use it in one park if I"m in another park

When I just ordered the card they ask for my AP number on back of AP, that's how they know you have one.

I wonder if htat means you have to have an activated pass to order one. I will only have a voucher when I order mine. Anyone know? TIA

paults - I don't know the answer to your question, but I am also interested in the answer - especially if your spouse won't also have an AP or PAP.

Paul, if your wife had an AP too perhaps the CM could see that and will send it in her name. Let us know. When I ordered mine, she asked which name I wanted on the other card. We have five APs and I really had the impression that she knew it.

Carol, I'm almost positive that folks have posted that they ordered it with just a voucher. Perhaps they use the order # to verify that you have ordered it. On the other hand, perhaps that was during the confusion about needing an AP at all? I'll try to look for those posts.

I ordered mine last week and they did not ask for my AP number. I've seen other posts where people ordered it with just a voucher and even posts where people said they were going to buy one when they get there. I guess it depends on who you get.

I have not taken the time to read all the posts. But I am at WDW now and have used the DDE several times, no one asked for AP or any ID. Took 20% of bill before taxes. And never questioned it. Saved the cost of the card easily.

It is worth the cost to us.
