Can someone with experience share how this works? I'm a DVC member and only my name is on the deed. My other half and I are going to WDW next May and would like to get the special offer for premium annual passes. At present, we're living abroad. Our non-US driver licenses here do not have any address. In fact, we do not have any government issued, or whatever issued, IDs that show our address (they just don't exist here). To make it even more difficult, we have different last names.

I'm thinking about buying the passes online, but I don't want to take any risk. What document do we need to bring with us when we go to WDW next year to exchange the vouchers? We have a copy of the lease that shows that we live together (though this is in German...) :rolleyes2

ps. OTOH, I still have my US driver license which shows the address of my parents, so my mom could easily get the discounted pass, even though she's in no way in the same household as me... silly...

Doesn't your passport have your address? Unless he/she is on the contract I don't believe they can get a DVC pass...I thought only kids qualify when not on the "contract". Someone will come along shortly with possibly better info.:confused3

Your immediate family members (including parents, spouses, kids, grandparents, grandchildren, etc.) living in the same household all qualify for the discounted annual pass, just like the member. :) One nice benefit.

Passports by design do not have your address. Most passports (including the US) have a page where you can *write* in your address. The US passport even specifically says that you should write this information with a pencil so that it can be changed when needed. Don't think this would actually proof anything...

Passports only officially verify where you were born. They contain no current address information. Since they're valid for 10 years it would be a little silly to have an address on them as a lot of people might move within that time frame.

I would place a call to Member Services and ask what sort of proof that they would accept, perhaps a copy of the lease (even though it's in German) would suffice. Is your Swiss address currently what is on file with DVC?

DH and I had this problem. We were newly married - his license did not yet have the address of our new home. I kept my maiden name. I took a photocopy of our marriage license with us - together with a copy of a phone bill (showing he got mail at the same address as I did) and we were fine.

Call member services and explain the situation. We have something similar, in that DH is not on the deed, and since we are military he has a different state of residence than me. What member services did was set up a file for us, where they put in writing that DH was able to have the discount, and when I went to purchase our APs (I think we were at DTD), they were able to pull up the electronic file and process the APs with the discount.

I don't think we needed to show any additional documentation, but I offered to bring DH's military orders and our marriage certificate. MS told me they trusted me ;) With it all on file, it would be tough to scam the system, I don't think I could claim to have multiple husbands. :rotfl:

I agree with the advise others have offered to call Member Services in advance and discuss your situation. You're definitely entitled to the discount for both of you, it's just a matter of figuring out what documentation they'll require. Off the top of my head, I'd think that your foreign country identification and copies of bills showing you both receive mail at the same address would suffice.

That's not correct.

I just spoke with member service about this today and they said this exact thing for us. We just got married in July and we both get mail at our apartment in texas being bills, however he still has a permanent residence and stuff due to work and some other legal things in illinois while my legal residence is in texas. She told me to take my marriage license or a copy of it and mail that shows we receive mail at the same address as well as our bank statement or checks that show our address and that we should be fine. This was a great relief for us since our IDs do not match.

We had no problems with DVC discount with AP. as long as you all live in the same address and can prove you both live there. I would say a call to MS would give you an idea of what documents qualify.

Similar question here! I am the DVC member and my sister lives with me. Long story short, her and her fiancé broke up about a year ago. She lived in his house, now she lives with me until she can get her life back together. We have different last names because I am married. Do I need to bring my marriage certificate to prove we are related? Her drivers license has my address on it already.

You should not need anything other than Driver Licenses that have matching addresses.
