First time with AP's. Will be heading to DHS the first day. Where do I get my passes activated at this park?
Great, thanks! As you look towards the main entry, before you go through the bag check, turn left, GS is just a short walk. This location is normally faster than most due to much lower crowds.
yikes! Didn't expect for it to take that long. We'll be arriving at the park around 1:30 so hopefully no one else will be in line!Just did this at DHS 2 weeks ago! We arrived in the afternoon so the regular ticket windows had zero wait. Whether it's new or renewal DVC APs take a bit of time to activate. I would say we spend 15-30 minutes with the ticket CM each year.
They are supposed to. If they don't, you need to ask for one.Do they still give you the AP card as well?
Saw it was mentioned earlier that the ticket window could activate if necessary. Wonder if they can supply the card also. We're not sure what time of day we're arriving, but since we're staying at SSR I was also debating activating at Disney Springs. BUT that adds one more question: If we activated at Disney Springs on a Monday but did not go into a park until Tuesday, would the AP expire 1 year after the Monday, or the Tuesday?
We did our AP at the International Gateway at EPCOT last fall, and it took about 5 minutes each. I had read horror stories, but our activation was really easy.
Good Luck!
Technically, everyone (regardless of age) is supposed to be present.Follow up question - do both adults on the AP have to be present to get their APs activated? I am thinking of doing this one evening while DH is back in the room with the kids.
