First time with AP's. Will be heading to DHS the first day. Where do I get my passes activated at this park?

As you look towards the main entry, before you go through the bag check, turn left, GS is just a short walk. This location is normally faster than most due to much lower crowds.

Great, thanks!

If there is a line at GS, any ticket window can activate the pass too.

Don't forget your Blue DVC Membership Card and all adults (ages 18+) need to show a photo id.

Just did this at DHS 2 weeks ago! We arrived in the afternoon so the regular ticket windows had zero wait. Whether it's new or renewal DVC APs take a bit of time to activate. I would say we spend 15-30 minutes with the ticket CM each year.

yikes! Didn't expect for it to take that long. We'll be arriving at the park around 1:30 so hopefully no one else will be in line!

Their experience was not what we had. After a few minutes waiting for the person ahead of us, we got the APs processed, our discount cards and TIW card in about 10 minutes.

We've never had it take more than a few minutes. As long as you have everything with you, it's pretty quick.

We did our AP at the International Gateway at EPCOT last fall, and it took about 5 minutes each. I had read horror stories, but our activation was really easy.
Good Luck!

Do they still give you the AP card as well? We'll have our MB's, but I know that the card is usually needed for discounts...

Saw it was mentioned earlier that the ticket window could activate if necessary. Wonder if they can supply the card also. We're not sure what time of day we're arriving, but since we're staying at SSR I was also debating activating at Disney Springs. BUT that adds one more question: If we activated at Disney Springs on a Monday but did not go into a park until Tuesday, would the AP expire 1 year after the Monday, or the Tuesday?

It would expire one year after the Monday, the day it was activated.

We had a similarly fast and pleasant experience at the International Gateway back in 2015 also!

Follow up question - do both adults on the AP have to be present to get their APs activated? I am thinking of doing this one evening while DH is back in the room with the kids.

Technically, everyone (regardless of age) is supposed to be present.

Daughter just activated on Saturday at the studios and it took about 15 minutes. That was for 2 adults and 2 kids. However, the cm should've spent longer because the expiration dates were wrong so she ended back up at guest relations getting them fixed. She was told the 13 month deal expired, but she bought the vouchers back in December before the deal ended. So folks need to watch those expiration dates
