DVC and DP

I have read on other threads that all guests have to be present at check in for the free DP. Is this true for dvc also, even though we are paying for it? We will be at SSR and we never take everyone in at check in. It's much easier to leave pretty much everyone in the car since we would just have to get back in to drive to our villa. I'd hate to have to drag all the kids out.

I've never had anyone with me at check-in, and I've gotten the DP on the last 5 trips (only one was DVC). I think the "everyone with you" rule was put in place for the free dining promotion as a way to curtail scammers.

When we checked into OKW in May, when we came to the DDP part of checkin, the CM told me he needed to physically see all members of our party. Fortunately DW and DD4 were already in the lobby, so there was no delay, but he did want to actually see them. I've read other posts where they didn't even ask, so like most things Disney, I guess the answer depends on which CM you happen to get. (The CM who checked us in, BTW, was a little new, but did a wonderful job -- very cordial and helpful.)

Thanks. I guess I'll just go in and check in like usual and see what happens. Hopefully the rest of the family will be able to stay in the car.

In August I checked in 11 of us and was not asked to have everyone present.
