I believe the only way to do it is to but a one day base ticket because then it is considered a package which would enable you to buy the DDP but you would have to buy a 1 day ticket for everyone in the room.
If you have a room reserved through CRO or other that MS, you must purchase a package to get the dining plan (rack rate room plus tickets). If you use DVC points at a non-DVC resort, you cannot get the dining plan. If you use points at a DVC resort, you can purchase the dining plan without a ticket purchase.
If you have an AP, you can get a Disney Dining Experience card for $60, that will get you 20% off your meal at most places and includes alcoholic beverages.
To qualify for the DDP at any non-DVC resort you must follow the rules of Disney Travel/CRO and get their package. You can not get the DDP at all if you are staying on points at a non-DVC resort.
DVC Members don't get into the parks to eat without a ticket, the DDP is also good at resort restaurants. But the difference is we don't HAVE to buy MWY tickets as part of a package to get the DDP. That way, those of us that have APs or left over tickets to use up on a trip...or even those that want to NOT go to the parks, but eat only at resorts don't HAVE to buy a MWY ticket to get the DDP
So you can use the DDE to pay for the alcohol that would not be covered on your TS meal on the DDP? The DDE and DDP can be used together in this instance?
