Hi I could really use some help. I am taking my mom for the first time to Disney. I have DVC and Flight all set. I am trying to figure out if paying for Disney Dinning is better than renting a car for a few days for grocery and eating off property. She is only staying for 4 days, I am staying for 6 days. I am also debating getting an annual pass for myself and purchasing her tickets at a discount. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Where are you staying and do you have a 1 bedroom suite or a studio. The studios only have a microwave and small fridge. If you get an annual pass will you be coming back in the next year otherwise it is not worth it. When are you going? Have you made any ADR's depending on the time of year it might be hard to get them now I don't believe there are any ticket discounts that you could get for your mothers tickets with an Annual Pass. We have actually stopped getting the dining plan as it doesn't pay out for us because sometimes we don't want dessert or we will share a meal and split an appetizer or dessert. There are some dining discounts with an annual pass. You can also have groceries delivered to resort we normally have drinks and breakfast stuff delivered. I have used WeGoShop and have had good luck.

Thank you, that does help. I was thinking of just light breakfast and snacks so the microwave is enough. I will also be coming back in April of next year and staying for 7 days. We are staying at AKV and SSR first 3 last 3 respectively from 11/12/13-11/18/13. Having food delivered would be much easier. She has not traveled in over 20 years and his nervous about coming alone. I was concerned about using magical express and her having to travel alone back to the airport. We are both coming in on the same day. Does that change any recommendations?

Me and my daughters will actually be there the 13th thru the 17th. I would definitely get an annual pass if you own DVC you can get it at a substantial discount. In the past my step daughters has not traveled with us and magical express has allowed my husband to ride to the airport so she wasn't by herself she was a teenager at the time they might let you go with your mom. If you haven't made ADR's I definitely wouldn't do dining plan as it won't be worth it plus it is a lot of food. There is both discounts for Annual Pass and DVC for dining you could find out about on wdwinfo.com. Good luck let me know if I can help with anything else.

You can use the garden grocer they deliver food right to your hotel. You can order online it's very easy and prices aren't bad. It will save money on renting a car just for groceries. Also via Napoli in Epcot always takes nonreservations has good food.
