This may or not be the correct way to do it, but I have to ask.

Last year, we stayed at bwv for 1 night, then moved to vwl for 5 nights. we bought the Deluxe dining plan for the 1 night we were at bwv and loved it. it was the first time trying it. we just payed cash for meals while at vwl.

Here is the question now-we are going to stay at vwl for approx 8 nights this year. we were thinking of getting the deluxe plan again, and since you get 3 meals a day that can be used up until midnight on the day of check out, is it possible to book all 8 nights separately, and only add on the dining plan for the nights we want to use it??It would be 8 separate reservations, each for 1 night. Can we ask then to not tie them together so we can do this with the dining plan, or is there no way to do this and can only be done if we switch resorts or room types-studio to 1 bedroom, etc?

We would save a lot by only having the dining plan a few of the days instead of each and every day.

thanks for the info.

I think MS told me that if the room is the same (size booking category) these 8 days are 1 reservation. You would truly need to have a different room for a new reservataion.

Which means packing everyday and moving. Ugh.

Correct, you have to move out, then check back in to whatever room they assign you, for you to be able to do a nightly reservation. That would be the only way that you would be allowed to select which nights you want to use dining plan...

If you want to stay in the same villa, you would have to link the reservations. If you link the reservations, they become one. And that defeats the purpose of you booking them separately.

If you want to have the plan every other day, you would have to check out and check in each day. And possibly move every day.

did you only want the dining plan for half the nights? I don't know if this helps... But a couple years back we stayed in the same room but it was split reservation because for the first 6 nights we had my parents with us and for the rest of the trip we didn't. We wanted the dining plan while they were there but if it had been one whole reservation we would have had to pay for the DP for them even when they weren't there. So we had two seperate reservations one with them one without and only got the dp while they were there however we were able to request to stay in the same room and never did have to move..I don't remember if we had to check back in..probably did but it was no big deal..no moving luggage ect. So..if you really only wanted the dp for say the first or second half of your stay you could make it two different reservations by adding someoneelse onto one of them. You may have to move rooms..you may not..but that would only work if the days you wanted the dp were consecutive. can't see you being able to do it any other way!

Disney won't allow this. they want your money.

so as everyone had say this will only work - if you check in and out every morning - and some morning you may have to move.

Not worth it.

this will definitely cause you more points - make another reservation at OKW or AKV value studio (this only works if 4 or less) - put it in your spouse's name - then use it for the dinning.

it would be cheaper just to go with the DDP for the entire stay - or go with one of the lesser costing ones.
