I recently bought a resale through TSS. It seems that when DVC went to put me into the system they used an old address (four and a half+ years old). Any idea how something like that would happen? I've got the deed in front of me and its correct, and I have a copy of what TSS sent to Disney (the "New Owner Set-up Information"), and its correct too. They also had an older e-mail address, which wasn't the one on my "New Owner" form. Hopefully I don't have too much of a hassle getting things straigtened out, but its definitely a scary first impression.
 
Perhaps they'd pulled a credit report on you and looked at the wrong place on the report. That's the only thing I can think of (short of an old check -- don't laugh, mine have an address that's over five years and two houses out of date) where they might have had access to old addresses associated with you.
 
An honest mistake. It shouldn't be that difficult to correct. People change e-mail and addresses all the time.
 
Had you taken a DVC tour, or contacted a guide for sales info during the time you lived at that address? Maybe it was in their system and the agent entering your resale info just "forgot" to change it.

It really should not be a problem to correct this clerical error.
 

If you bought through resale, it would not be from a credit check, as DVC would have no reason, or no authorization to do so. I agree that you took a DVC tour and that was the info they still had in the system.
 
You should contact the peron who did your sale at TTS. They had my husbands name entered wrong, even though it was correct on the sales paperwork. I called DVC admin and they were no help, so I contacted TTS and they got it fixed.
 
I spoke with my guide and she said I was first entered into their system in 2000. So I'm sure the address was just not updated. I was able to logon to the member website and booked a trip for next May which was my immediate concern. She also said that she'll make sure they send my member ID cards and the welcome packet to my current address. For some reason I've been unable to update my address through the website. I just get a message that "We are unable to process your request at this time". I guess I'll update it through a written request.
