DVC 1,000 Point Club (2025)

@Blizzyblizz I've been gone for a while and need to update sale of VDH contracts totaling 150 points.
Old point total: 2185
New point total: 2035
Old rank 17.
New rank should be 18.

AUL: 694
PIT: 196
RIV: 275
VGF: 150
SSR: 200
VGC: 270
VDH: 150
Nice to see you again!! I saw your name in my alerts and was like emchen 😀😀😀

We just added another 70 points at Grand Floridian and 75 points at Poly. This brings our new total to 2,320. I have a feeling more Poly points are to follow, as the 75 points is our first contract there, and just not enough points. We just finished a 4-night stay in the bungalow for the second time, and it is amazing. 75 points is not going to cut it for a bungalow haha. Add on itis seems to never stop

How do you all keep track of all those points, do you end up with wasted points ever, are they all same Use Year?
Do you just use what you want and bank the rest each time so there is always a rolling amount?
I only have like 225 points for WDW & I was having trouble, but I think multiple UY & having to make transfers was more the root of the issue of “keeping track”.

I used to think I would spend most of my time in bungalows, but I became addicted to the Tower theme park view rooms. No plunge pool, but I think the view is better. On the other hand, availability is much better at Bungalows.

We went and looked over the Poly several times in the past and more recently once the Tower was finished. I just don't ever think we will be buying or staying there. Same goes for RIV. I just don't get the vibe like some of the other resorts. Give me BWV or AKV any day.

It can be complicated, but I use multiple spreadsheets and a large dry-erase board. Our 2,320 points are spread across 4 different use years. We have never wasted a single point. We constantly find ourselves borrowing a lot, so we never have a rollover amount.

So I did it...

My 1156 points averages $141.73 per point. Which includes 338 direct points.

These are my totals, NOT including Closing Costs. Closing costs is a necessary (evil) variable.
Mix of 6 Contracts, 3 Direct (275) / 3 Resale (615), 475-SSR / 230-BWV / 185-AKV, yields an average of just under $110/Point

Yep, that’s exactly how I would need to do it, pencil in vacation plans on the white board, then a spread sheet to do the math.
Once you start banking, I’m guessing it gets harder to lose a point, as long as you vacation enough!! 8-)

Love seeing it all laid out like that. Did you buy the 25 AKV to use for a specific room size or season?

Yes - the 160 wasn't quite enough for 2 weeks in January, so we added on 25 Direct.
Direct adds are soooooo easy compared to resale, we timed it to get "double" points that year, and spread the costs over our Disney Visa at 0% for 6 months (That was the offer at that time).
ETA : Plus the Disney Visa Points :D

I notice from your signature line that you'll be in WDW 2026 at AKV/BWV/BLT.
We will be at all 3 of those, plus SSR, for Jan/Feb 2026.👍
