So I finally get the offer in the mail for double rewards for certain purchases. I am sure by now you all know what purchases qualify, but here is the kicker. I have to spend $2300 a month on these purchases before I get double rewards on remaining purchases. Now I know we spend more than the average family, but how could a family of four possibly spend over $2300 on gas, groceries, etc? I would have to feed the whole neighborhood.
Evidently I am being "punished" b/c in the past six months we have gone to WDW twice (unusual for us) and placed a deposit on our cruise for our whole family (15 people). They only look at your total historical spending to set the rate, not specifically at the purchases they reward double bonuses too.
I still love the rewards points I get, just really disappointed to have to miss out on this opportunity. I think Bank One is being a little unreasonable with this minimum.
