Dust Removal Systems on DSLRs

Agreed; I don't feel so bad, now, about the fact that my Nikons do not have any dust removal "technology". The results of this test indicate that there's really no substitute for a Rocket Blower in your camera bag.

that test isn't really designed well though, the cleaning systems are designed to be used daily, removing all dust right away, how many people leave their cameras sitting face up minus lens, to collect that much dust....

I have the XTi - with the cleaning system. I have had it since December and have some pretty good sized hunks of - something - on my sensor.

Gonna have to break down and clean it soon.

Now this is my first DSLR so I am not sure what is normal as far as dust on the sensor. So I can't be a good judge of whether is has helped out or not - but I do know it doesn't shake off what I have on there right now.

it helps to always keep camera lens mount pointed down, sheilded from wind etc, when changing lenses, keep rear
caps on lens and dust before putting on camera..
