I'm planning on a soft-sided cooler, do I need to dump out the ice before boarding? It will be a wheeled bag and wasn't sure it was necessary to dump out all the ice. Can I check this bag with the porter at the curb if it contains beverages?

Thanks for any help!!
Getting close to the 100 day countdown!!! Yippee!!

You do have to dump out the ice.....I just put the beverages in the cooler with no ice and didn't add that until after I boarded so there would be no water dripping at all and the porter did take it.

Disney does have a policy of "NO COOLERS". You may want to be a little more discrete with your wheeled on cooler.

We have a soft sided cooler but it folds up and can be easily packed away in our luggage. I carry on any drinks that may be in glass container in a carry-on. Any cans we pack in our luggage making sure there is some kind of installation surrounding them. Our stateroom host have always be happy to give us extra bag of ice, we ask them to leave it in our bathroom sink. We take care of empty the cooler and refilling it with ice. We also keep folded towels under the cooler because after a day or so them will start to leak a bit.

Good luck.

Also, any type of bag you choose to pack your drinks in must be able to close. The porter almost didn't take ours last time because the bad didn't close like zipper type bag. My DH slipped him a little extra something and he took the bag. This time we will bring it in a sealed bag or cooler type.

Thanks for all your great tips!!! This bag doesn't look like a cooler it's more like an insulated carry-on with wheels. I will make sure its ice free.

Thanks Again,
E

Hey tezb.

any type of bag you choose to pack your drinks in must be able to close.

Speaking of "bags" that's one reason why I didn't cruise while married. Never could get my MIL's mouth to close AND she couldn't hold many drinks...

You are cracking me up Buck.....don't get me started on MIL!!oops did I say that?
