Ok, here it goes. I am travelling to the world via Towncar from MCO and elected to stop for a few groceries(milk,oj,case of water ,wine breakfast foods). We are staying at the BCV..Now am I going to look like a total moron carrying in groceries as well as luggage into the lobby? What do I do if my room isn't ready? Thanks everyone!!

We've toted loads of groceries including cases of bottled water and beer into Swan, Dolphin and BoardWalk, and if anybody thought we looked strange, I didn't pick up on it and I wouldn't have cared if they did, not with what I was paying for a room. As for the room not being ready, at the BoardWalk they'll refrigerate your perishables and store the rest until your room is ready.

We always use Tiffany Town Car on our way to the YC/BC and stop at a grocery store to get a few things (bottled water, milk, etc). The bellhop will take all of your bags (including groceries) and put tags on everything. They'll store the stuff that needs to be refrigerated in the fridge too :thumbsup2 When you are in your room, just call bellservices and they have on record how many "bags/pkgs" you have and will bring them to your room. Just be sure to tip accordingly :goodvibes

We do this every trip and I don't think anybody has even noticed. Well except for the trip where our adult DS's bought 12 cases of beer and it got stacked on its very own bellhop cart. It was my most horrifying WDW experience ever.

We usually drive and have a BIG cooler full of food. The first time I was worried about looking like a hick from the hills bringing that thing into AKL. :lmao: The bell hop just loaded it up like any other luggage and never said a word. I've seen many other luggage carts with coolers and groceries too. Nobody ever says a word or looks funny at it. The maids have even occasionally filled our cooler with ice while they were cleaning. Don't worry 'bout it!

Bell services is very accustomed to handling groceries -- especially at the DVC resorts where there are full kitchens. All Disney resorts even have refrigerated storage in their bell offices.

If your room isn't ready when you check in, they'll hold your luggage and your groceries until you call for them.

:rotfl: OH my god! I would have paid to see that!!!:rotfl2:

Just a thought...but I always take an extra piece of luggage to hold our food so that we don't have a ton of grocery bags to be loaded and unloaded by the bellhop. Good luck!

I've worried more about taking coolers, fridges, microwaves and such into the Atlanta Hyatt..... but not after seeing other carts full of the same.... Sure wouldn't think twice about Disney (especially after that...). I take a cooler full of sodas and some food. To me it's just like the conventions I go to.

I've seen Stormtroopers do that.... (but not at Disney). I guess your sons must've had more "elaborate plans for partying with the Mouse"..... :rotfl2:

We find it's best to shop at gardengrocer. We place our order a month in advance, and they bring it to bell services at SSR, who then brings it to our room when it's ready. We don't even have to be in our room, either. We stay onsite our entire stay, so we don't need a car.

I drive to Disney, and almost always have some sort of groceries with me. For the two week DVC trips, I usually have a couple copy paper boxes full of groceries, a flat of water, a few six packs of juice and soda, and then the luggage besides. No one bats an eyelash.

The only time I ever got a second look was when I used to take my Coleman electric cooler with me (this was in the days before the rooms came with refrigerators), and that's only because everyone wished they had one too.
