Duluxe Dining questionm

thanks septbaby..I really appreciate it. I'll try the chat tonight as soon as everyone under 18yoa is IN BED! :) LOL! This Disboard is great..I love it and have only been here a couple of days. It's just all a bit overwhelming--there's soo many things to think about! :)
Thanks again..

You are welcome! I should warn you this place can be addictive. I never knw there could be so much planning to go see the Mouse. However, I got my satisfaction when my mother said to me at the Animal Kingdom, "It is so nice to have a plan and not be standing in the middle of a hot park not knowing what to do next". That and the constant joy on my nephew's face made it all worth it.

Yes, I was unable to get into Chat as well. Guess we'll have to just keep trying. They had issues before; can last days.

We always do the Deluxe plan....
We like the room service option :cheer2: :cheer2:

you said you had kiddos but didn't mention the ages... On the other DDP thread I posted a long post on how the DDP plan can work well with families with young kids.... use room serivce in the morning while your getting ready for the parks and the kids can eat at their own pace! Also nothing beats room service dinner when you have a gaggle of tired whiney kids coming from an all day park experience. Usually half way through the meal the little ones pass out leaving mom and dad to their dessert on the balcony... very romantic if you don't mind the snoring :rotfl:

In my brainy, not-so-mathematical mind...I was trying to get a guestimate :teacher: for what it would cost NOT doing DxDDP...for the Hoop dee doo alone, is $350 for our family. :rotfl:
I think that might say a lot for the plan...I don't spend much more than that a month for groceries!!! :) I'm all for vacation-eating, as we call it, and we just close our eyes as we empty our pockets for the meal. That's what happens when you have 5 kids 12 and under, that eat like 12 adults!!! :rotfl:

ps, I LOVE the room service idea! :) Esp the "dessert on the balcony" thought..my DH saw that and HEARTILY agreed! LOL!

I figured we wouldn't have to pick & choose with the deluxe plan....wrong! I made my preliminary list of places we'd like to eat and unfortunately have too many dinners chosen for our 11 day trip in Sept. I'll settle for some lunches instead of dinner for our old favorites, but after that, I'll need to do a lot of soul searching and DIS posting! For example, DH would like to try California Grill because he heard you can see the fireworks from there, and I would like to try Narcosees for the lobster. With DD5, are we better off just choosing between the two? I'm also planning on Boma, CRT, Kona, Teppan Edo, Hoop De Doo, Mickey's BBQ, Chef Mickey's, Brown Derby etc etc etc. Was thinking of possible revisting Cape May & Ohana, even though they weren't our favorite meals in the past. Wish they served lunch...
