Is there a reason for this? My cousin is a huge Duffy fan and would love to get his autograph in December, but it seems he doesn't sign. She has seen videos on Youtube here he does in EPCOT, and she's upset that he won't in DL. Anyone know why?

Duffy is in CAP when we were there last Dec. It would appear he can't sign autographs from his costume design, but I'm not sure. He puts a sticker in the spot in the book where you want an autograph. DD didn't mind, she still thought it was cool.

It could have changed by now, I'm not sure, sorry I can't help more.

Haha, I should've specified. I know he's in DCA, but I tend to refer to everything there as DL. :lmao:

Unless the costumes are made differently at each of the parks, it seems weird that he would in one park and not the other.

I've noticed the same for Koda and Kenai. I've seen videos/autograph pages where they do sign in MK, but not in DCA. I think I'm just confused on why.

I've seen it happen elsewhere too.

The Incredibles will sign in DLR, but not in Disneyland Paris.

Pooh and Eeyore also don't sign in Paris. When you try for Eeyore a CM will tell you: "He can't sign, he's got no thumbs." Weird that the DLR Eeyore will even make drawings with the very same costume - we did take close ups of the paws, it's the very same. ;) Then suddenly in July in Paris Eeyore was signing one day after all, but Stitch (who had signed no problem every time before) suddenly refused me. :confused3

We were guessing maybe some characters aren't used to using their paws yet.

So, Duffy has to sign all day in Florida. Then he flies to California to sign and the jet lag is just too much for him. The time change, the lack of sleep, the difference in weather. It's just too much for him, making it really difficult to sign when at the Disneyland Resort. However, he wants everyone to remember their visit with him so he brings some really cool stickers with him every plane ride to give out and put in people's autograph books. It's even got his photo! How much cooler could it be??? :wizard:

Now I want to ask his handler how his jetlag is coming along. :lmao:

I have heard that if someone is "filling in" and doesn't usually play that character, they can refuse to sign because they don't know the character's signature. That may explain the Stitch situation.

I know that's the reason for Koda and Kenai don't sign in DL - they have no thumbs. And Sulley is afraid of pens, or something like that. :rotfl:

I didn't know this was the case? I'm happy to stop by and get an autograph from Duffy for you at Epcot. Let me know - I'm sure I'll be by this weekend.
