Dues are due

I checked my mail and guess what was there? My dues are due. I hate the recoup from Christmas but I do budget for the payment to DVC. So I opened the letter, went online, paid in full.

Another year of DVC coming up.

Out of curiosity, and at risk of learning something :goodvibes, why do you pay your dues in full. Is there an advantage? Our thinking is, if we make monthly payments, there are no additional costs and we get the interest (albeit small) from the money sitting in our account throughout the year.

Any advantage to paying all at once?

Thanks,
Dreams

Only whatever rewards you get if you put them on a CC. We were going to pay using our Disney Reward dollars and then paying the balance with CC to get points.

But I decided today that I just want to do it monthly and will be sending in a fax tomorrow. I think it will just make it so much easier to do it this way. And, honestly, I am only losing around $8 in reward dollars.

we too received our dues this week. IWas considering the montly payment plan but saw the only way to do the monthly is to have it pulled direct from your bank.
We don't want to give any access to auto-debit from bank account (not even Disney) so we are paying in full on card

I pay it all at once and get the points on my credit card and pay it off right away. By doing it this way I don't have to worry or think about it until the next year.

We pay almost everything with our Disney Rewards card. Use it like a checking account and pay it off every month. We can usually cover annual passes for our whole family with the Rewards points!

We pay in full too, I don't want any more direct debits coming out of my accounts and I also like to have it behind me. This year I had the money to pay it, sometimes we pay it with a credit card and then pay the credit card with the tax return.

I, too, use my DVC Rewards CC and then pay it off. Those reward dollars add up quickly:) Since I don't do AP's, I use mine for dining out while in the World:thumbsup2.

I hope this isn't hi-jacking the thread, but did you all receive a dues statement in the mail? I know that I can see it and pay it online, but my DH is bothered that a bill hasn't come yet.

We're going to pay it at once - if we could do it monthly to our credit card, we'd do that, but we aren't interested in anymore direct withdrawls right now.

Yes, you should receive a statement in the mail. Mine came this past Tuesday. I also pay my dues in full using my Disney Visa for the reward points.

I got my statement in yesterday's mail.

We haven't received our statement yet, although I've already paid it online. It always takes a LONG time for us living in Canada to receive any mail from Disney.

We did the same thing. I put it on my Airtran CC so I'll get points I can use towards a business upgrade. If we use points to upgrade we can do it over the phone anytime after midnight the day before we leave.

Help! I keep getting this message every time I try to pay on line. It's as if Disney really doesn't want my money! :lmao: I have been trying to pay it all day...

OK, LOL, this site edited out the member services number and replaced it with *******s. Now that's funny. You know, the main number we all have memorized. :thumbsup2
