Due are due today question

Hey guys...Our annual dues are due today...I always pay on Disney Visa in order to earn more points...I am in the middle of my pay period...And would love to wait two weeks until we are in the next pay period so I have an extra month to pay the bill...I know the Dues bill says they are due today and can be paid up through next month without penalty...Is that really true?

Can I in fact pay a few weeks late and still be in good standing without a fee?

Yes, it's true, I sometimes forget and don't pay until about Feb. 1. I don't know if they'd let you make reservations in the meantime, but there's no penalty, and they don't cancel your current reservations.

Thanks for the reminder, though, I'm going to pay now!

When are Late Payments assessed and how do they affect my Vacation Points?

Late payments can impact your ability to make reservations and to bank and borrow Vacation Points. Any payment that is overdue, including but not limited to Annual Dues, Loans (if applicable), Member Getaways transaction fees and balances from Disney Vacation Club Resort stays, prohibits banking and borrowing of Vacation Points. In addition, if you are more than 90 days past due on your Annual Dues, this will cause a suspension of all activities, including the cancellation of any existing reservations. So please take note - to make the best use of your Membership, be sure to keep your account up to date!

Thanks Michael...Well, we are not planning on banking, borrowing, or reserving in the next couple of weeks...So maybe I will wait the couple of weeks.

I signed up for monthly this year and called yesterday after I faxed the info. I was told they won't even deduct my Jan amount until almost February (he said 10 days -2 weeks) I asked if that would make me late and he said no they do not consider them past due until after Feb 14th.

We have always waited for our billing cycle to restart. I've even made reservations in the time before that happens, but not past that February deadline.

Actually, I thought that they were due tomorrow, on the 15th...

Due to how my income is paid out, I have always made my payments after 2/1 but before the 2/14 late date. I have never banked points but I have made reservations, borrowed points, and made transfers during that time frame. From the way I read it the rules applying to late payments refer to the 2/14 date. The bill even states that the payment is late after that date. I never really gave much thought to it since that date is on the bill.

Yes, that's correct. I'll be late with my dues, as I was last year. I believe we have until Feb. 14 to pay w/o a penalty.

My auto-drafted dues payment finally showed up about an hour ago. Not sure why it wasn't there this morning but apparently those things can filter in throughout the day. Just FYI for those wondering why it wasn't drafted today, looks like it may just take a while to show up.
