Duct tape on your feet?!?!?

Bodyglide, buy some Bodyglide and smear it on your feet,it works for everywhere on the body!!!

Yep, works for me too....now.... If I can only get something for the "Disney Rash" I would be happy!;)

Dancers tape up their toes to prevent blisters. But they use a fabric like tape. The only thing I can see duct tape doing is leaving a sticky mess. :headache:

1) Hadn't heard about this before.
2) But, it does make a lot of sense.
3) After all, duct tape is all-power and multi-usable.
4) In fact, duct tape is like The Force in Star Wars
. . . it has a light side and a dark side, and it binds the universe together

NOTE: There are two supreme axioms in the universe.
. . . If it's stuck and it's not supposed to be, "WD-40" it.
. . . If it's not stuck and it's supposed to be, "duct tape" it.

I don't use duck tape. I don't use anything but a tegaderm (think: sticky saran wrap - if you've had an IV recently, they most likely secured it with a tegaderm) on the back of my foot.

I didn't have much luck with tegaderm. It actually started peeling off and balling up on the edges. I thought maybe I didn't press it enough on the edges, but it did the same thing the next day. The Wright socks were a bust too. I spent that whole trip in a state of hobble. Hobble here, hobble there...

I saw duct tape and had to open this thread!
It reminds me when I was maid of honor for my best friends wedding and I forgot to get a strapless bra and didn't have enough time to go get one. well needless to say my best friends mom comes back with a roll of duct tape and I was like    !!!!!
so I have 3 girls with duct tape putting it around my b@@bs! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

It worked but it hurt like he!! coming off!!!:scared1:

:lmao: :rotfl2:

ok now I am embarrassed!!!

Never have done it t Disney but I have done it on ruck marches in the Army. It does work really good and does no damage to your skin when you take it off. So if you have shoes that my cause blisters, put the duct tape on and worry no more.:thumbsup2

We have used this trick on planters warts too. It suffocates the wart, and prevents it from spreading. Duck tape really does work wonders!!

I never heard of this, but after last years trip I'm willing to try anything.

I've always used moleskin and bandaids and they worked well. Last year my toes got so sore that I got to a point where I couldn't put shoes (sneaks) on my feet. I had to go out and buy Flip Flops because I wasn't about to walk around barefoot.

My big toes and small toes are still not right and that was last October. I'm thinking about going to a podiatrist before the next trip in November. Guess I better make that appointment soon.

Duct tape =RED NECK. Who in thier right mind would put duct tape on thier feet?:rotfl2:

Yesss Body Glide is FABULOUS! Not only does it prevent blisters, I put it on my feet before I go to work and I swear they don't as badly. I stand on my feet all day and it really works. Though I have had people ask me why I was putting deoderant on my feet:rotfl:

If you try the duct tape just be really careful. I am using it right now to get rid of a plantar wart. (You put on the wart medicine and cover with a small piece of duct tape.) The skin under the tape is completely white and dead looking. You will need to totally air out your feet after you remove the tape or that first layer of skin will peal right off. (I know it sounds like it will hurt, but it doesn't, and it really does work to get rid of plantar warts.)

I bought BodyGlide for my trip next week! $10 at Dick's.

So how does the Bodyglide work? I've not heard of that one before. I generally have two problem spots even though I wear the same shoes I wear all the time at home. Is it like deoderant? And you just put in on where ever you need it or all over? Won't your socks slip and slide around? Guess I'm having trouble picturing this. I was actually considering the duct tape on just my problem spots.

I am going to test out the body glide before I go to WDW...I run everyday, so I will use it on my ankle/heel area to see if it helps prevent some blisters...I have some new running shoes to break in! Did someone say you can get it at Dick's SG? Like, what section whould you find it in?? Dick's is too big of a place to just start searching randomly, common sense tells me to look in the shoe department????

I got the bodyglide last year for our WDW trips based on things I read on here. And it definitely works. It LOOKS like deoderant, but it's just a little push up bar of smooth stuff. You rub it where you need it, and you can immediately put socks on - you don't have to wait for it to dry. The socks do not rub it off, because it basically keeps your socks from sticking to your feet when they get hot and sweaty. I would definitely get some and try it out. I even tried it out with my flip flops on one trip and it works for those too...only a couple times it made my foot slide out of the flip flop and hit the ground, which didn't feel good. For those of you who don't have a sporting goods store that carries it (we don't where I live) you can purchase it online at runnersgear.com
