DTD? Worth it or not?

I hadn't been since the construction started, but since I was at POFQ earlier this month, I figured it was as good a time as any to give it a try. I was primarily interested in the Marketplace, so most of the construction didn't bother me. I enjoyed visiting the new shops and had a nice meal before heading back to the resort. It wasn't as much of a hassle as I thought it might be. However, I don't think I'll be driving to DTD until the construction involving roads and parking are complete. Too much congestion for me.

We will be at WDW in 15 days. Yeah!!! My kids want to go to DTD at some point during our 7 days. I've been reading about all the construction and it sounds like a hassle. Is DTD worth it? Thanks!

I would go but watch your time. We almost missed our plane. I really wished we had had more time there. Kids went to Disney Quest which they loved, but we had to hurry through the rest. I didn't have time to do the shopping I wanted to do. So I say go, but give yourself the time to enjoy it - and don't miss your plane

I stayed at POFQ this past January and I took the boat to DTD, without any hassles. The Marketplace section is my favorite. The shops and restaurants are cool. I did go bowling at Splitsville, but Probably won't again since i want to spend more time at the parks. There seems to be a lot more stuff there now so if you have a lot of time, you should go.
