Hello all,
Just reading another thread and was a bit confused. Can I get a bus from Downtown Disney to MK or do I have to get a bus to a hotel and then from there to MK? Thanks for your help!

The last time I was there, March 2005, you could not get a bus from DTD to any park. This is because so many "frugal" people were parking in the free DTD parking lot and going to the parks.

It really isn't a good idea on a number of levels. If you have a car, pay to park it. If you are staying on site you won't be charged for parking anyway. If you don't have a car, then you really have no choice but to return to your hotel and then catch the appropriate bus to the park (MK)!

:moped: :wave2:

No bus to MK from DTD. I agree with the other poster. If you are going to the parks then just pay for a day of parking. It allows you to park hop and park free if you show the receipt at the next park.

We usually hope a bus to CR then hop on tram to MK.

No more parking at DTD and heading straight to MK. Honestly the parking there is very limited and people were parking there fee and busing into the parks. And that is really just a disater for people who park at DTD to shop there.

Good to know. I will have no car when I am there in nine days but I did plan on going from DTD to MK so I will have to add a stop in there! Thanks all.

Ps - I think it is so rude that people would park for free and work the system like that. I am such a dork that I would never even think of that.

The easiest way to the MK from DTD is to take a bus to one of the MK resorts (Poly, GF, Contemporary) and monorail over to the MK. From the Contemporary you can also take the ten minute walk. As I think about it, since the bus drops you off at the main entrance of the CR it probably is a lot faster just to walk to the MK rather than go inside and upstairs to the monorail.

The few times we want to go from DTD to MK we always go to the Contemporary and walk over. It isn't that far, especially when you consider how far you walk in the parks everyday.
