DTD Marketplace Bus Stop?

At our last visit in the fall of 2009, we found that the Downtown Disney area only had one bus stop, toward West side. We thought the setup was a marked decline from the Marketplace bus stop we previously used (hiking through traffic to get to the sidewalk, fighting the throngs of people for the little bit of sidewalk space in order to keep our toddler out of the road, etc, not to mention it's a long hike back to the buses when you have packages to carry).

Is the Marketplace bus stop permanently closed or can we look forward to it opening again, if not for our trip in 2 weeks then for the future?

I may need some help on this one, but I was just there on Wednesday morning and I swear the Marketplace bus stop was open..... at least buses looked like they were pulling in there as we drove by... then again, I didn't take the buses so some more concrete evidence is needed ...... we were also there around 930am, so I could be wrong..... heck, it doesn't sound like I am much help at all, does it?

It was only temporarily closed - the one at Market Place and PI are both open - the one that is all the way down on the West Side past Cirque has been closed for a long time now.

The Marketplace bus stop is probably the busiest so there's no way that it's closing permanently.It was closed for like 5 days sometime in September for refurbishing.There was a 3rd bus stop by Cirque Du Soleil that's been closed for a long time.

Thanks for the info; we were there in September so I guess we must have just hit it during the refurbishment. I asked a couple of staffers but nobody seemed to have any info on whether it was a permanent change.

Glad to hear it's up & running again. Didn't make sense they'd eliminate it!
