I just came from my Ds's class, They had a pizza party and I delivered the pizza. well we were handing out the pizza and the teacher says, That she was asking the kids did they have any plans over school vacation? And the kids were giving various answers. And mine very loudly says... I hope we are not going to Disney againnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. At which point the kids were aghast. So the teacher said For everyone that has not been at all, to raise thier hands, They did and she then said to my son don't complain as others are not fortunate enough to go. I amma little embarassed I am sure it meant it light hearted but he sure came off sounding like a brat...
This will be my lesson. I will not go more than twice in 1 year. I will not go more than twice in one year. I will not go more than twice in one year.

I undersatnd where the teacher was coming from, but I would have never done that.. that could have potentially embarassed any other parents or children that have NOT gone.

Yes, kids can get Disney'ed out. My kids took a break and went to USF/IOA, Seaworld and loved it. Yes, they still like Disney, but they like other stuff as well.

you should go to WDW and leave him at home, with lots of homerwork, Call him everyday and tell him what a great time you're having. Seriously my, now 18 yr old, has fought going since she was 14 and guess what her senior trip is....... a Disney Cruise.

Thats funny. A Disney Cruise for her senior trip? If you don't mind my asking how much per kid? Did they give you a breakdown yet? My DD 17 would love a Disney Cruise for her Senior trip. She also fights going every single trip, and Complains,(we stay at the Boardwalk in a villa and the weekends at AKL club level.)

Well she recently got her senior trip information, and you guessed it they are going to disney!!! suddenly mom's trips are the greatest, and she doesn't want to stay at the All Stars.;)

I told her I will go down at the same time and stay at AKL club level and maybe.... she could come vist. I laughed she didn't.

I also agree I wouldn't have had the kids single themselves out like that. oh well, I guess mine shouldn't have been such a brat about it.

800.00 and that includes a motor coach ride to and from. Some of it was covered by fund raisers (gift wrap, plant sale and wreath sales) but a nice chunk came out of my pocket. Next year she'll head to college and not only do I get to pay that but then there's spring break too!

Thats a great deal!!!! we are paying $600, for 4 days, 4 nights, A four day park hopper, and 4 kids to a room at ASSP. Mine was breaking down the trip for her teachers using the AP rates for that time of year for the room. And her most convincing arguement was that she has an AP and doesn't need a park hopper and will stay on her points, ( Which she says cost nothing) But... She has to go on the entire package take the park hopper and all to be alowed to go. I would much rather pay for the cruise. good luck to your DD I am sure she will have a great time!

DisneyDoll.:p Your right I think he takes after his father!
