Declan slept from 11 to 6:30! :sunny: I am trying not to get too excited as DD managed this once early on and then didn't repeat it for at least a year! Needless to say I didn't sleep great. Part of me was waiting for him to wake up I suppose!

Poor little love is starving this morning :)

I bet you wondered what was going on when you woke up :rotfl: Long may it continue,

Claire xx

I hope he continues to sleep through the night for you it makes such a difference!!

Long may it continue

Our DD had a sneaky habit of doing this for 2-3 nights in a row so you thought she was getting into a routine then reverting back :rotfl: .

It's just a great feeling to get a whole nights sleep again but I know what you mean about you still listening out for them ;)

Right at this moment (feeling hideously sleepdeprived!!) I can imagine how exciting this must be.

YEAH! Here's a dancing banana for you. :)

Good for you Jo :cool1: I hope it continues :)

It seems like an impossible dream to us at the moment but having just read this thread to Joseph perhaps he will get the hint ;)

Jo, did you find yourself still not sleeping that well as you were listening out for him? I know I did for the first few times that DD slept through.

Heres soping for another good night! :faint:

I have never been on the UK board, but this thread caught my eye! My ds is 13 months and slept through the night last night for the first time!!! But, I think like some of you said before, it is just a ploy to make me think I can finally get some sleep! My dd did not sleep through until she was almost 3! My goal is to have him sleeping through by are trip to WDW in April!

Jaclyn

PS- Love the name Declan, by friend just had a baby and named him Declan, but it is not very popular here in the states! :goodvibes

Gems - that's exactly it! I slept well last night though (he's done 2 nights out of 3 currently hurrah!) They both slept past 8 this AM that's a LIE-IN :cool1:

Jaclyn - hurrah! Long may it continue :sunny: My DD has only just started sleeping consistantly well and she's 3 (I think she is worn out being a big sister!)

Declan isn't very popular here either (more so in Ireland ::yes:: ) Your friend must also have good taste!

Thanks for posting - it's nice to 'meet' you on the UK boards

Hope it continues for you Jo!!!

My oldest is 13 and from the day he was born he slept (even had to wake him for feeds as a baby & weekends now he is lucky to rise before midday!!).....my youngest is 7 he is still not sure what the phrase 'sleep through the night' means as he get up at least once (even if its just for the loo!!) and is up and full of energy by 6.00 each morning!!...I am so lucky my DH gets up with him every day as he does not need as much sleep as me and lets me have massive lay-ins on a weekend.....I think he knows its best otherwise I would be a grump!!! :rotfl2:

wils- Yes, my dd who is 4 now did not start sleeping through until she was almost 3. Both of my dd and now my ds will only nurse to sleep! I am hoping to break my ds of this as well before are trip to WDW!
That is so funny about the name Declan, because my friend's dh is from the UK and so I assumed that is where he has heard it. Anyway, I love it, I think it is much better than my boring old Alexander Edward, but dh won out on that one! :upsidedow
