DS is bringing grandson home for the very first time

My grandson, Tra, 16 months will be flying home with my ds, Mike, for the Holidays.

I am so excited I could just BUST!!! I know it is hard to believe that I have never seen my first grandson. Mike is not married to Tra's mom but they have worked very hard (with her fiancee) to provide a family for Tra. Mike has been gone alot this year due to his tour in Uzbekistan etc. Tra's mom encouraged Mike to bring Tra home to us for the holidays. I was so happy. But due to the mid east problems we were not sure until this AM that Mike would get his leave approved.

I just finished paying for the tickets! My Texas boys are comin' home!!! They will be here for 10 days.. begining Dec. 28th. Oh I can not wait to hold that child.. and I will give Mike a big hug too!

Yippee!! Grandma happy dance!!

I am so happy for you. I am sure he will be spoiled rotten by the time he goes home. This will be a special holiday for sure. Take plenty of pictures.

You remind me so much of my MIL (IN A GOOD WAY!!!!!)

She has 8 children, 15 grandchildren and two on the way. She treats each and every one of her grandbabies as if they were her first and only. And her joy in each one of them is so heartwarming to me.

Now that is awesome! And I think it says alot for your son and your DGS's mom to put that little baby first and let him be with all of you at the holidays. Sounds like they really have their act together even if they aren't together with each other (if you can follow what I am trying to say, lol) and that makes me smile also.
