In case of an overbook situation do not offer to lap carry a child for whom you purchased a ticket without getting a refund of both tickets.

Reason: To ensure it costs the airline something. Simply returning the child's ticket lets the airline collect another fare from someone else to use that seat whcih costs the airline nothing.

The airline can remove the SSS from your record. I'm not sure why SWA didn't do this as they could verify the person was 2.5 years old and not a threat. I'd still go through SWA managment and find out why this wasn't done at the front desk in BDL.

And people wonder why Airline is such good TV - it's not just the drunks, but also the occasional inept SWA agent or holier than thou SWA agent that makes for good TV.
