As far as I am concerned, if they decide to search my suitcase, they do so at their own risk of encountering dirty undies.

I will not pack dirty undies so while I was showering earlier I washed them so they could be packed. Now they're sitting on the a/c drying. Am I the only one that won't pack dirty panties?

It depends, exactly how dirty are they?

If we are staying with family, I'll do a wash before we leave, but if we are at a hotel, I am way too cheap to pay for a laundromat. I just put all the dirties in a plastic bag.

my suit case has a divider in the middle, it's removable...so dirty on one side and clean on the other.

my dirty clothes can NEVER touch my clean clothes or I get grossed out, then of course I MUST wash them as soon as I get home. The suitcase goes straight down to the basement and into the washing machine.

Am I the only one that hides dirty undies in the middle of the clothes?

I use plastic bags too for undies, socks, etc. Use them for both clean and dirty--not at the same time, of course! Makes packing easy and if the suitcase would ever come apart and clothes go flying everywhere--have you seen that one commercial??--it would be easy to gather up and put away!

This is why I check my luggage. If someone is going to paw through my undies, I don't want it to be in front of an audiance.

I wash all the clothes when I unpack. I just feel like the clean ones get tainted while they are locked in with the dirties. Of course, it usually takes me about a week before I unpack the bags when we get home, so that may have something to do with the funk.

I'm so glad I took the time to wash my unmentionables. Both of my bags were searched this morning. Oh, and since it was a small airport, it was done right at the chck in counter for all to see. Actually every bag was searched so I don't think mine was special.

One pair of undies - vacation duration liners.........can also be used for vacation countdown ticker. "Honey, I'm down to 5 liners - only 5 days left until we leave".


only kidding - the thought of dirty undies touching cleans grosses me out...

wvjules - I think I'd be embarassed searching my unmentionables, clean or dirty for everyone to see! Do you think they compare and contrast types, condition, etc. if everyone is searched? Yikes!

Barring stains or strong odors, I'm at a loss to see how clothes you wore once could "infect" unworn clothing rendering it unwearable until washed.

Then again, if I wear a garment and it does not have any stains or odors, I will wear it a second time before washing to prevent soap/water waste and save wear and tear on the clothes.

Last year I had to deal with a cheerleader (I'm the cheer coach) who filled another cheerleader's mailbox with dirty panties! ]

Apparently cheerleader #2 had fooled around with cheerleader #1's boyfriend. Can you imagine having to explain to your mother why someone would want to put dirty underwear in your mailbox? I was really stern with the girls but inside I was

These are even better than the paper ones. One of the Amazing Race couples wore the paper versions on the show, but these look much nicer. Perhaps the solution for germaphobes among us?
