Dryer Balls instead of dryer sheets - worth it??

I have been using dryer balls for about a year and love them, I only use a fabric softner sheet in the winter if I am drying a load of fleece. I love the dryer balls!
I also use vinegar when I forget and lead a load in the washer too long and it gets that musty smell, just rinse the load w/ a cup of vinegar and it is back to normal!

Yep. I have used a packet of yeast for years. It is sooo much cheaper than the Rid X. I was in the hardware store one day and saw the price for Rid X and said OMG! The guy working there told me this tip. I told him I already knew that, that's why the price shocked me. I have never bought it before. I have never had a septic problem and I know a few other people that have been doing it for years too. You use it the same way, just flush a packet once a month.

We have been using the dryer balls for about 6 months and have no complaints! Our towels dry a lot faster than before. Static has not been an issue for us. Hubby wants to get a few more to throw in the dryer. Someone told him you could use up to 8 or 9 dryer balls at a time. I don't think we will go that far.

Every so often, we pour a cup of vinegar in with a load of towels. Vinegar is very good for removing soapy residue from towels. Also, we have used a cup of vinegar if we forget and leave a load of towels in the washing machine.
