I know everyone is going to tell me to go to the doctors and whatever, but I am SOOOOO hating the eye doctors.
I have really great vision, have never had any eye problems before and probably the only one in my entire family that does NOT have glasses or contacts. (everyone actually says that I "took" everyone's good eyesight)
So needless to say, the last time I've been to the eye doctors has been many, many YEARS!!! I've just never had a reason to go. I do, however, need to bring my son and sometimes my DH. So I witness how the eye doctor checks out the eyes and sometimes have to put drops in them (which TOTALLY FREAKS ME OUT, SERIOUSLY) So I can't really picture myself sitting in his chair while he tries to figure out what my problem is and him trying to fiddle around with my eyes. Skeeves me out I guess. Who knows. LOL
Anyhow, here's my problem. My left eye tends to be watery all the time (I remember my grandmother being like this too) and itchy which in turn make them really red and irritating because I am CONSTANTLY rubbing them. I have bought some eye drops and try to put them in myself but even that freaks me out. But I refuse to have someone else put them in. I cannot STAND to have ANYTHING near my eye, let alone something going in it. So what I do is pull my lower lid down while looking in the mirror and squirting a drop or two of Clear Eyes Itchy Eye Drops into the lower lid, then close my eye and HOPE & PRAY that most of it stays in my eye. LOL After a couple minutes in seems to help for a short period of time. Then it's back to rubbing my eyes constantly because they itch so much.
I mean, I know I have to go to the doctors even though I don't want to. But I was just hoping someone here would tell me what works for their itchy eyes. A lot of times, I will also wet down a face cloth, put it in the freezer for a couple minutes so it gets nice and cold and place it on my eyes. It does work for a while, but then it's back to rubbing them constantly. I'm just so sick and tired of it.
