Drury vs All Star Movies - help!

I am also waiting to see if they come out with some discount for the fall.

I actually did look into the DVC route - saw some of those "Confirmed DVC Reservations" and saw some at AKL within our date range, for just a couple hundred bucks more. Very tempting.
We usually rent DVC now, I don't think I can go back to paying Disney prices.
I use DVC rental store they are great, also with the Deluxe you get the Extra evening hours which are a nice bonus.

I know Disney does what it wants but is there a pattern to when the discounts for the fall usually get released? For September - October?
Last year the end of September became available 4/9. Mouse Savers is a great place to look at discount history

Onsite or offsite never matters to me- what makes the choice is the details of the trip, the number of travelers, the number of days, the focus of the trip. In your case, I'd stay at AllStars. However, we NEVER get the Dining Plan, even when it is "free." We have used it several times over the years and I've tracked the receipts. Having the dining plan ALWAYS costs us more, like around $200 more, than paying OOP for our food, and we get to eat the way we like rather than the way the plan demands. If you want your food prepaid, figure out about how much you'd spend and then buy a Disney Gift Card for that amount, and use it to pay for your meals at Disney (and if you buy the gift card at Target using a Target Red Card you'll save 5% on the cost of the card).

ETA: In your case, being just you, DD, and park-focused, I'd stay at AllStars. Book the room and track the rates, rebooking if a deal comes out, OR find a travel agent to do this for you; the good ones will babysit your reservation and rebook if there is a sale/price drop.
Funny story...DD31 and I stayed at the Poly last summer, resort only trip with deep discount on the price but still paid too much. Our flight home was canceled due to weather so we needed another night at a hotel- but not at PolyPrices!! We booked at ASMusic and as we were walking to our room, DD said, "Is it wrong that I feel more comfortable and at home here, than at the Poly?" We love staying at the AllStars!

My girlfriend an I bought APs in December 2023, and we've been trying different hotels when we go. The Drury was on our list to try last year, but then they changed from Genie + to LLMP and that knocked Drury off our list. With LLMP you can start booking LLs 7 days before trip if staying on site, the Drury does not get this advantage and you can only book 3 days out. We take short trips (like yours) and the difference between 7 days and 3 days is huge in getting times that you want, and some rides may not even be available.

So if you plan on buying Lightning Lanes, stay on site!

How are the linens and towels at AS? Are they industrial grade? From the photos, and the long hallways, it seems so sterile to stay there. Just curious!

"long hallways"? All-Stars do not have hallways. I have never heard value's as being sterile, deluxes yes. As for towels, they are on the thin side (which I like) but if you happen to get new towels that they are cycling in then they will be a bit thicker. All I can say is that I watched a show that went behind the scenes to WDW laundry facility and they are all bunched together when they come in for cleaning and all run through the same assembly line.

I saw that show! You are right, they don't have hallways. I realized that later after I had sent my reply. Thank you!
