Dropping checked luggage early

We are surprising our kids with a cruise. They think we are just going to Canada and then coming home. On the morning we leave on the cruise, which is in Vancouver we were thinking I could go early and drop of the checked luggage and then have my wife and kids meet me at the terminal and we could walk around till it was time for us to board. Then suprise them with it. Wasn't sure if that would work or if someone has any other ideas. Any help would be great.

I believe they will not accept luggage until 10-10:30. Canada Place does have short-term luggage storage that you could pay for to have them to hold it until you are ready.

We didn't realize we were running early and arrived just before 10:30. They were just getting ready to accept passengers. Any earlier than 10:30 and I don't think it's going to work out.

true the luggage drop of will be at around 10:30, however you could actually drop off the luggage and then meet up with you family. The ship won't start boarding until around 12 and all aboard is around 4. So you really have a wide range of opportunity to do whatever comes to mind.

If you haven't scheduled your phone call from Mickey or Goofy you could schedule it in. Once the phone rings you will listen to a menu that says press 1 (may, listen to the call), then whoever you scheduled your call with (automated) will tell you about the cruise. You could have it on speaker after you press the appropriate button and let everyone here. Surprise!

If I wanted to i could drop luggage at 10-1030. Then have my wife meet me and walk around till our boarding time, I'm aiming for 12-1 So we have time to walk around. That would work hypothetically?

This is our second disney cruise, however the first one was make a wish, so we didn't really have to plan anything. We had such a great time we had to do it again. My kids will be 6,7,9 and 10. I have almost gave it away a few times, I think my 10 year old is on to us

Surprises are SO HARD. We are surprising DD with a trip to Universal in June and we've almost slipped more than once. It's so fun though! How exciting!

You know, I was mistaken. I just checked my trip report and we arrived at the port at 10. They made a comment that we were too early, but they still took our luggage. The taxi driver had to go to a different place, though, because they weren't ready at the normal luggage drop place. So I would drop the luggage between 10-10:30 and then maybe arrive to port around 11-12. When we went we had an 11-11:30 PAT.

It wasn't intentional that we were early, we just budgeted more time than we needed for breakfast, packing up, taxi, etc. So we got there and checked in by 10:15, and got a boarding group 9 (which was completely baffling to me because in Miami we checked in at 11 both times and got 3 so who knows). Mickey started greeting at 11 and Minnie swapped out at 11:30. They started boarding at 11:45. We were on board by noon. Hopefully that timeline helps you a bit!

Hi what hotel are you staying at? Some of the hotels right near the pier actually pick up your luggage in your room and bring it to the ship for you. Maybe that is an option. When we stayed at the Pan Pacific for our Alaska cruise, we put our cruise tags on our luggage and they picked it up in our room, and the next time I saw it was in our cabin. Hope the surprise goes well!!!

We are staying at executive hotel voyage park. They have shuttle but I doubt they have luggage service.
