Temporarily Suspended....

I don't think so. There would be way too many people pool hopping to the same place.
What place is that?

I realize we all vacation at different times of the year. And we use pools at different days/times, so there's going to be a variety of experiences. Overall, the hysteria over pools being crowded doesn't really match my own experiences. Some days are more crowded than others, but we've never not been able to find a couple lounge chairs. That's true of all pools, all months of the year. (Last time we stayed at BCV and arrived at SAB around 11am in August, our loungers weren't in a peaceful, isolated corner of the pool deck. But we still found a place to camp.)

All of the destination pools were excluded. When pool hopping existed, I assume some amount of equilibrium existed: one member hops from SSR to OKW, another hops from OKW to SSR. I never really saw the harm in it. I think we pool hopped twice in 20 years of ownership. But I'm sure it could be a hassle for resort security / parking. It does seem very unlikely to return at this point.

I'm more curious why they continue to list it, as it seems like it wasn't used that much and people don't really miss it....

About the only use case I could envision taking part in this benefit, would be dropping by a pool in the middle of a park day...
DVC IT is lazy, maybe they just keep putting off updating it 😂

Could be... but I think there's more to it than that...

For example, some aspects that existed pre-covid have been scrubbed...

But some others still remain...

I think about all of the things that remained closed forever at Grand Floridian... some suspected they may never return, but now I think all are back or will be soon except for BBB...

I actually would prefer the "quiet" pools at CBR... nobody is in them.... Leave me alone, I can bring a Coke Zero, swim laps, read, etc.

It made me think.... if DVC sold CBR points at the right price, I'd be interested for 1-2 night resort stays...
I will say that we went to CBR pool thinking it would be amazing and then quickly went back to Riv 🤣🤣

The only place I would be interested in pool hopping is to cbr from riv. We walked over there, they were not checking anything.

I think id feel the same at vgf to poly since they are so close walking distance as well and we liked the walk from poly to vgf

They were definitely checking the main CBR pool in the summertime.

So what was your favorite resort after your tour of Disney World? Where will be your main resort?
My favorite rooms goes to the Polynesian and my favorite hotel is Animal Kingdom ❤️ I need to stay in the vdh one bedroom to compare it to poly as they have the same layout, which I plan to do very soon! It could top poly for me!

Its hard for me to compare resorts that i havent stayed in the one bedrooms yet with each other. My least favorite room interior layout was bcv. I believe its the same as bwv but I enjoyed the themeing at bwv a lot so I wouldnt even have noticed it was the same layout tbh.

Animal kingdom rooms are in bad need of the refurbishment. It was the worst interior one bedroom we stayed at because of that. I would say vdh and poly are my favorite studios. Just cant beat those new rooms. They're my favorite one bedrooms too. Poly from staying and vdh from touring only.

I was very content with ccv one bedroom so maybe a three way tie with vdh and poly! It was the perfect xmas resort. I absolutely hated the studio tho. I'll never stay in a ccv studio again. I would gladly stay in a ccv one bedroom.

I know the resorts we will stay the most at from here on out is akv and vdh. I know now that were buying vdh we will be staying there multiple times a year. I have a huge interest in the club level rooms at akv, which I have yet to stay at, and thats where I will try to maximize the benefits of my akv membership from. Its the only wdw resort we stayed at twice in one year except for blt as well.

And I would be excited to stay at akv too this year which means a lot because i get bored easily, I wouldnt be excited to stay at blt again this year, rather go somewhere else. I am very happy with the pictures ive seen at the akv refurbishment!

I want to give vgf another try, especially the one bedroom. It was the resort i thought id like the most and i believe i will like the og side better. The resort is beautiful and I havent eaten at all the restaurants, we love fine dining so that can be a game changer. Ive only eaten breakfast at the buffett which I could do without.

I love the European concept of Riviera, i just think it could have been executed with a lot more themeing and I dont know why they didnt copy the poly and vdh layout, which to me is near perfection. Replace polys tub with rivs and ccv's and that would be the dream for me.

We know i had issues at VB but id like to return one day with calmer waters, we had bad luck with weather and that inevitably affected our trip.

VGC is very conveniently located, the food is great, but I am not impressed with the studio after staying at other resorts. I think its crazy with the amount people pay that they thought they could get away with sticky furniture and unacceptable shower heads. I hope that doesnt happen to vdh one day and I hope they do right by dvc owners soon. Sorry I know u asked for disney world I just love to give my opinion 🤣🤣

@Cfabar1 I would love to hear your opinions on the resorts you've stayed at as well ❤️
For me, it is definitely VGF the original building... There are some minor issues - like the shower is too large for the way it and some of the marble is starting to stain. they also removed the TV from the bathroom and the French paneling in the kitchen refrigerator which is very disappointing... But the rooms are large and well-soundproofed. j

BWV & BCV the rooms are bland, and the layout isn't that great... Love the location, but we personally prefer the S/D/SR to the Disney resorts to sleep....

AKV want to like, but the rooms were quite dingy and dark... I think the remodel has helped, but it still has that textured wall drywall and a few other things I wish they'd replace.

RIV we like, but not enough to stay there for a while...

CCV I like, but the rooms are tiny, and availability is tough because of the Cabins... But at least it is well themed, also the dining is kind of lame...

Polynesian... not our vibe.... We like the Island Tower (but have not stayed there) much more than the original, but would probably rather just stay at the JW Marriott Bonnet Creek over the PIT....
